Brandon and Ashley spent the night at the hospital so they could keep an eye on Ashley and Brandon. Mainly to make sure that when they helped by pulling Brandon out, that his head was okay. This meant that I was not allowed to stay the night, so I came home.
The next morning, Ashley told me that Brandon was not a happy camper last night. He had a headache and his head was sore, so he did not want to lie on his back, or when people picked him up and tried to support his head, which they should, he would just flip out. This meant sleeping and feeding were very difficult for him and Brandon spent most of the night screaming. He tired himself out and then spent most of the morning, and so far day, sleeping. This is good but it also means that he isn't eating. Ashley tries to feed him but he just falls asleep after 2 or 3 suckles. We started to take clothes off him and unswaddle, to make him less comfortable and get him up. This seemed to work well. As well as his head is starting to feel much better, so he is more comfortable feeding and lying down. Now he seems to be doing great. Funny that he was only born less than 24 hours ago.
