I finally got fed up with putting Brandon to bed while sitting on the floor rocking him. So today I took a trip to a second hand store to see if I could find a rocking chair that I would like. I ended up buying a rocker in really great shape for only 20 bucks! It was a wood rocking chair in a stain that wouldn't go with my furniture, but after watching countless hours of HGTV I felt ready to put my DIY skills to the test.
I forgot to take a picture of the rocking chair before I sanded and put some liquid nail to the loose rails. But I promise to get one of it in this state before I prime and paint. My goal is to have it complete by Saturday night so when Grandma and Grandpa Kelly come(and possibly baby sit) one has a place sit while to putting him to bed. Tomorrow I will post a before and after picture. But here is the chair in it's current state.
Today I am going to prime and paint the chair a creamy off white and then get a cushion to put on the seat.
