So out of pure luck this morning Paul, Brandon and I took a walk over to a garage sale down the street. The neighborhood across the street from us are single family homes. They are absolutely beautiful, but what I did notice was not one for sale sign in the entire neighborhood, for me that was a great sign, since nearly every neighborhood we have looked at has 3-4 houses for sale. While we were walking to the garage sale we were talking about how this would be a great neighborhood to buy a house.Well we got to the garage sale, the house was beautiful and the owner is a very kind Irish man and his wife Judy. She was immediately drawn to Brandon and his adorableness. We began talking, she was telling us about her grand children, all about the neighborhood (which was great because we live right down the street in the townhouse section), and we told her about us just coming back from 3 years in Europe. Then out of randomness she told us they are going to be selling their home in the next couple of months...most likely around July or August. How awesome is that? She is also a licensed Realtor so if we buy through her we could cut a deal for a lower house price. All we did was take a walk around the neighborhood and now we have a better idea of the type of place and neighborhood we want to buy this summer. Before going back home we exchanged phone numbers.
Wouldn't that be funny if we bought a house less than 1 mile away from where we are living now?
