Opera

Opera auditions in America are a complete 180 from what I experienced in Europe. So far I feel like I've had it a bit easier here in the DC metro area because this area is no where close to the talent pool in NYC or Europe. And the girls aren't as cut throat. The ones I met are married with or without kids.

This past weekend I returned to singing. I've yet to take a lesson with my teacher, but there have been some communication problems. So I went to my first audition with no preparation help from a voice teacher. I was happy with the outcome, I got a call back to do some readings and choreography the following night.

Being back in a room filled with singers, actors, and dancers just made me realize how much I missed the stage and music in general.
