This morning we had to make a trip to Target to get some groceries. I got Brandon's coat on and he went running off into the toy room while I got Peter in his snow suit. after calling him many times to come out of the playhouse I just gave up and told him I was going to the car. About 1 minute later he came to the car with the pockets of his jacket filled. He was in the playhouse stuffing his pockets with matchbox cars. The kid had about 4 in each pocket. So we get to target and I thought he had emptied his pockets while playing in the car. Not the case, some car began to drop out of his pocket as he walked around the store. All he said was Uh Oh! These moments I love. The next two are embarrassing, but makes me a mom.
At checkout(we're still at Target) the cashier put a paper towel and some socks in a bag for Brandon to carry. Well Brandon had a smarter idea. The bag wasn't even close to being full so he went over to the checkout candy and started filling the bag with everything he could get his hands on. I did not recognize this until the cashier said "look at him filling up his bag with goodies". I was mortified, but couldn't help but laugh, the other moms around me thought it was pretty hilarious too. We made it out of the store without shoplifting a single item.
After Target we stopped by my GS Moms group for a bit. Now Brandon is pretty much potty trained at home, meaning he'll only go on his potty chair. So when we are out he will hold it until we get home or pee his pants, and since he doesn't like peeing his pants (he cries now whennit happens) I have to rush home. Well after an hour at moms group he says Mama pee pee and starts crossing his legs. As always we tried the preschool small toilet but he wouldn't go. So we rushed home the get him on ghe potty chair, and he made it the whole 15 min ride home! But while I was getting Peter ready Brandon just stood there crossing his legs bouncing (I like to call this his potty dance)
I love these types of mornings, with this crummy rainy day I needed Brandon to brighten it up with his silliness.
