Well I'm feeling pretty good for being just 1 week from full term. Looks like month 8 was the worst month (also the hottest...16 days straight of 90+ degree heat with 100% humidity). Paul has taken over a lot of night time duties with Brandon. Such as Brandon's newest routine of waking up between 1-3 and creeping into our room. Last night he came in and just put his head on my side of the bed. I got up, because it was pointless to wake Paul, and took Brandon back to his room, the moment I laid him down he was out, I was surprised. Out of curiosity I googled 15 month sleep regression and found out that between 15-18 months it's very normal for toddlers to do this, they are going through a huge developmental change (with being able to speak) they say it won't last forever and we just have to survive. I'm just happy he goes back to sleep when we lay him back in his bed, I know if he was in a crib he would be crying and wake everyone, at least this way he only wakes me or daddy.
The other night Paul looked up the next full moon because he is convinced Peter will be born that day (which is 8/13). I guess it's possible. But I hate to disappoint him if that day comes and goes and Peter is still locked up in his little hotel. But I do feel like he will come early, I'm having a lot of signs and symptoms that labor will be here within the next couple weeks. One new pregnancy symptom that has popped up is sweating profusly even when sitting in front of a fan in my air-conditioned house.
We are all ready for Peter to come, as long as he is ready! This week I packed our labor and delivery, hospital, and Brandon over night bags. We also made arrangements for Brandon with multiple friends and neighbors ( we asked a lot of people to be on our call list to help with Brandon because you never know when it will happen and lots of people are taking vacation this month). The only thing left now is to finish Peters baby blanket. I restarted this darn blanket at 28 weeks because it was bad...really really bad. I'm very proud of the second one but still have about 35% left to complete, if you know anything about crocheting I have made hundreds of little squares and still have to make probably 200 more, attach them to the blanket, then weave the loose ends into the blanket and add a trim. Paul jokes that I'll be finishing the blanket while in labor and he'll be shouting at me to hold him in until it's done....little do men know that it doesn't work that way.
We are so excited for baby Peter to be born soon....30 days countdown.
