Today we walked a 2K to raise money for the pediatric cardiology at Fairfax hospital. The weather was a bit of a bummer but we dressed the boys up real warm and brought some umbrellas. One of our umbrellas decided to break halfway through the 2k, we still carried it for cover and it reminded us of the crazy Dutch who would do the same thing one rainy days while riding a bike home.
Sorry for that segway. We had fun at the walk but didn't stay to long after because the boys were feeling cold and got a little drizzled on. The last thing we need is someone getting sick before Brandon's birthday party next week.
Below are some pictures right before the race began. A special thank you to everyone who donated to this cause. The pediatric cardiologists work with many babies who have the same or similar congenital heart defect as Peter and working with small babies is not easy trust me watching the doctors and nurses take such special care for Peter in the NICU and PICU made us feel he was in good hands. We are so happy that we could give back in some way and plan to make this a Kelly family tradition.
