Friday night we drove to New Jersey to visit Paul's sister Christine and have a big Birthday celebration for Paul's mother. Saturday was a great day, family arrived before noon we all hung out at Christines house and even the weather behaved. At one point in the day it was 60 degrees. Brandon had a blast chasing their retriever Jack around the house while playing with his cousins Tyler and Lauren. It was adorable to see how good they are with Brandon. I think Tyler looked a little disappointed at dinner when he found out we were not spending the night again.
Right before leaving for dinner we took a family picture outside. I am so excited to frame this picture because it looks like it fame out terrific. But right before the picture Brandon started running a fever of about 100+. I'm not sure how high it was because we didn't have a thermometer until the baby Tylenol had started working and by that point it was only 100. Luckily for dinner Brandon's temperature went back down which meant he had an appetite. Oh boy did he eat, 3 pieces of bread, artichokes, spinach, parmesan, and other various items from the anti pasto Paul and I shared. We were totally shocked that he was eating salad with Balsamic vinaigrette. I guess this baby has quit the palate to trying new things. Along with his appetizers he ate chicken fingers and French fries for dinner and tried some birthday cake from Mommys slice.
By the time dinner was finished it was very close to Brandon's bedtime, so we got him in some pajamas and started our 3 hour drive back to Virginia. It was such a nice weekend. We were so happy we got to see the family all together. These days it's very hard to get everyone together all at once.
