I've been in sort of a dilemma since moving back to America. For me the right teacher/mentor is very important. I have tried a couple teachers since coming back and yesterday I had the first lesson that made me feel back in the game. Back in December I auditioned for a group called The Washington National Wagner Society. At the audition the maestro/artistic director was very pleased with me and offered to take me on as a student. To me this was great news, but even after sending him an email after the audition I never heard back from him until last week. I had no idea that he was listening to auditions in January and February until making a decision on who would be accepted into the group. Last week I received an email from him asking go call. Well to my surprise I was accepted into the group and he wanted to start voices lessons as soon as I could. This news put me on cloud nine!!! I was ready to take a year break from singing while I had baby no. 2 and then recovered, but this news brought me life into me. I already have two concerts for May how exciting is that?
I can not wait to see what opportunities this new project will bring me.
