Life with Brandon has certainly been busy.  There is not a moment in the day where I feel bored.  There is always something to clean up, that reminds me I need to throw his laundry in the wash, ha ha.  There is also my practice time.  I find I do not take for granted the practice time I get.  I get very serious about my 30-45 minutes because god only knows how much longer Brandon will keep still in his bouncy chair as I sing.

I was chatting with a friend from home who had identical twin girls nearly one month ago.  I could not imagine having two at the same time.  She also has the cutest little boy who is literally a miniature version of his father.  I was so happy to hear that she was back home, the twins are great, and she is happy... very tired but still happy.  Even though she lives by my parents it's so nice to have a girlfriend who also has kids.  She'll be one of the friends I call all the time about "Mom questions"  when we get back.  Right now with the time difference, international calling, and never knowing when we're sleeping it's so hard to chat.

Since the move is getting closer and closer I'm starting to look into things for Brandon and I to do.  I am thinking of getting the family to join the YMCA so we can take advantage of all the play groups, exercise classes, and swimming pool.  (The Fairfax Y has Mommy and Baby exercise groups, we'll try it out to see if it's something for us)  Another idea that has been in my mind for the past year has been for me to get certified in yoga.  I love it so much.  I really credit yoga for keeping me fit and snapping back to my pre-pregnancy size within 10 weeks.  I did some research on getting the certification done here in Rotterdam, but it's all done in Dutch and even though I understand Dutch yoga classes, I could never try to give them, so I'm excited to visit this idea again and look into yoga certification.    Right now that only thing I know is that it's intense, takes about 10-12 months and you need to set aside one weekend a month for 12 hours of training.    What I love about yoga is that it's so healthy and it's a great skill to have with being an opera singer.  I feel like it keeps a singer centered with breath support and technique.  Because as a singer my body is my instrument and if it's not taken care of the voice will suffer.
