Today Paul and I met with our new doctor at the hospital. She was a very nice and told us what's going to happen in the next couple of weeks. Pretty much I'm going back for more blood tests, the doctor does not believe that I do not have gestational diabetes because my weight gain is very high and Brandon is estimating at 4.5lbs. She showed us a chart that if he continues to progress at this rate he'll be a 10lb baby. So Monday I am going back to the hospital to redo the glucose blood test, but a different type of test from the first one. Then in 2 weeks we have another appointment with the doctor to get an ultrasound and figure out what to do from the results of the blood test. For the time all sugar has been restricted. I'm not even allowed to have a piece of fruit or juice. I feel like the next two weeks are going to be very difficult because I normally can not go 1 day without a piece of fruit or a glass of orange juice. But if giving up these things means it'll slow down Brandon's weight gain I'll survive the next 9 weeks without sugar, the Easter Bunny will not be visiting our house this year.
Great news is that we get to see Brandon's cute little face on the ultrasound, today he was being a ham for the camera, he just looks so cute! This is the one great thing I like about the doctors appointment, it's only about 2-3 minutes long and we don't get any printed pictures, but it's nice to get to see his face. I'm happy we'll get to see his face 2-3 more times before he's born! Our doctor wants to try to avoid inducing labor, but we'll learn more after the blood tests and next appointment to see how much he's grown since today. I really hope he get's back under the 95th percentile.
The next couple of weeks are not going to be easy, but I'll get through them because I can't wait to meet my little man!!!
