No more wagon rides...for a while

Monday was like another day. Brandon and I were outside playing with his toys. It was 5:00 and he had 1 hour left outside till dinner and bed. But this ended quickly when Brandon stood up in the wagon and tried to walk in it. He ended up falling out of the wagon and hitting his head on the sidewalk. He cried a lot, but eventually stopped after 5 minutes or so. My neighbors helped calm me down to think about where I should take Brandon. He had a couple scrapes and a big bruise. After thinking of all our options I called his pediatricians help nurse. They told me to come in right away so they could see him. After his appointment they said he should be okay, but to watch him through the night and keep an eye on his soft spot. If anything were to happen to the soft spot to call the on call doctor and rush him to the hospital. THANK GOODNESS I didn't have to take him to the the ER. I couldn't eat or sleep all night. I must had checked on him 3-4 times to make sure he was still breathing.

Monday night was also filled with another event. At 10pm that night a transformer blew in front of the house behind my house. The explosion scared me out of my skin, it sounded like a bomb went off, and it happened twice. At first I thought the Elementary school was on fire, but it wasn't. My neighbors came over to check on me and Brandon. Little B slept though the whole thing. we had a black out for a couple hours that night.

Yesterday we took it easy Brandon was still managing to fall and crash his toys on his hands and feet. I'm very excited he wants to be so independent, but his walking is driving me crazy. One other thing B learned is to climb down the stairs backwards. It takes him 15 minutes to get down, but that's because he gets halfway down and decides to climb back to the top, then we have to start all over again. I must practice my patience. All I want to do is scoop him up and carry him down the stairs, but come 4 months from now I'll be very happy we taught him this so I can carry the new baby and he can climb down like a big boy.
