1 year old Brandon fun Facts

Brandon CAN WALK!!!!  He walked across the entire kitchen.  I had my back turned for 2 seconds and when I turned to see him he was walking with his arms held out in front of him like Frankenstein!  Then once he got to the start of the Foyer (marble floor) he gracefully sat on the floor and was done.

At Bath time Brandon hates when I drain the water (he doesn't want water playtime to be over) so he will stick his bath toys in the drain to stop the water from leaving the tub.  After Mommy takes all the toys away now he plugs the drain with his butt.

All brooms, dust pans, vacuums, and cleaning devices need to be out of sight because B will try to "help" clean with them.  He even knows where Mommy hides them and if he sees the door open he'll tear across the room to the door.

B no longer needs formula.  We finished our last can Monday and are on whole milk.  He also said Bye Bye to sleeping in a sleep sack.

Morning and afternoon naps are taken on the floor of his playroom or on the floor of Mommy and Daddys room on a BIG FLUFFY blanket

After nap time is over B wakes up swings the door open and rips across the room laughing or jibber jabbing (if he's had a long enough nap) If he is still tired he comes and sits in the hall and moans for me to help him get back to sleep.

Brandon can go down the stairs backwards by himself!!!  Mommy has been very patient teaching him this new party trick and is hoping it comes in handy when the new baby arrives

We also drink from a straw, but not from a sippy cup straw from a regular cup with a straw in it.  It's horrible that I let him try, but he loves sweet tea from McDonalds

For his Birthday he got a tot rod power wheels Toy story car.  It's taken him just one week to figure out that he has to hold the button down to keep the car in power, but Mommy can steer because she has a handle on the back.

Mommy thinks that Brandon's stranger anxiety is gone.  He has been down to babysitting at Mom's group until it's nap time, LOVES the babysitters at Washington Sports Club, and had our neighbors college daughter babysit him at his house for the first time yesterday

Brandon's vocabulary is expanding but not everyone will understand what he is saying, he says "doon" and that means Balloon.  But he does say Mom Mom, Dada, Nigh Nigh, outside, and a couple of other words that are clear as a whistle.

Brandon loves all food so far there is nothing Mommy can find that he won't eat...sometimes he find leaves and things he shouldn't eat and Mommy gets mad.

B only has 6 teeth, but we are pretty sure he is in full teething mode right now and going to get 2-4 more this week.
