Out door games

The boys have been getting cabin fever the past couple days since it's started to get colder. But today has been gorgeous, 50 degrees and sunny. I'm from Northern NJ so this weather is typical fall weather, we just have to bundle up in jackets and hats. So the boys had their wish come true and got to play outside in the backyard for 30 minutes. Our backyard is wonderful, our property is .45 an acre and the whole backyard is fenced in. We've collected a bunch of step two toys from holiday presents and donated from friends and neighbors so the boys have lots of play with. Their current favorite is a car table they can race and push hot wheels and matchbox cars. AND the best part is we bought them a whole bag of second hand toy cars that are known as the "outside cars" I'm hoping we have another mild winter like last year so the boys have more outside time. I love watching them play together. Brandon was running up to trees and covering his eyes today counting (one two five...ready or not here I come) then running around looking for Peter. I'm not sure Peter knew he was even involved in a game of hide and go seek, but it was sure darn cute to watch! Another game they love to play, but Mom and Dad do not like is sword fighting with sticks, in the end someone always ends up getting poked in the face and cries. The last fun game they love to play is a game I like to call "chase me" We run after them shouting "I'm gonna get you" and they run away then once they get to the other side of the yard we pretend to be chased by them and they try to catch us. It burns a ton of energy. The only way we are going to survive winter indoors is by me starting my pinterest page now with ideas for tons of indoor activities for a 1 year old and 2 year old!
