Sorry for the absence. Peter got a terrible virus, with a fever for days and then he had an ear and eye infection. He had a rough week but on top of that he had a cold so lets just say we didn't get much sleep the last two weeks. Paul is also very busy with work so that leaves long days and nights for just Mommy. But now that he's feeling better we're weaning him from his night feedings. His pediatrician suggested decreasing is bottle by 1/2 oz each night until he's done. So far it's working. He only wakes once for the midnight bottle (the one I want to get rid of) and then he wakes again between 5-6am. So family update. We're acting like summer is here and the boys love our trips to the parks and anything involving water. Brandon is doing an awesome job with potty training, we do have a couple accidents everyday, but today for the first time he came to me and said Mama I went poopie, this kid never tells me! He usually lies and blames Peter for the smell. But we are thrilled that he is training so well. Our first week I knew the only way to bribe him to get back to going on the potty would be to give him presents. So I went to the dollar store and bought a ton of match box cars and every time he went on the potty he got a "Potty present" after a couple days it was working! And now he doesn't get any presents, only if he goes accident free for a whole week now will he get a toy he's been begging for at Toys R Us. Peter is crawling faster and faster and we now have to remember to close all baby gates behind us because Peter's two favorite things are the stairs and Brandon's potty chair. He's also eating tons of table food,([pretzel sticks, orange slices, puffs, cheerios, hot dogs, carrots, french toast, waffles, and he had his first cookie at Wegmans last week!) The boys are also starting to become inseparable. Brandon will wake up in the morning and I'll have to keep him away from Peter if he's sleeping, but the moment he wakes, Brandon's shouting "Peter I'm coming!" and then when they see each other they both light up and usually giggle together. Today I witnessed the boys first fight over a toy. Peter wanted to play with these wooden blocks that are inside a push walker, but Brandon wanted them all in and to push the toy (I don't know why he couldn't live without 1 or 2 with Peter) but they both were making noise at each other. Brandon was yelling no Peter mine! Like the normal 2 year old he is. And Peter was screaming and kept trying to grab at the blocks. I'm going to try and post more often, but as of right now I'm typing on a broken computer and it's too hard to write blogs from the ipad or iphone. We're looking at getting a desk top this summer, we just need to decide what kind of all in one desk top we want. I'm voting apple, but we'll see if Paul wants the same one I want. Next time I promise pictures and videos.
