update

Hey everyone!  I have time to blog!  Our routine went crazy these past couple weeks and will go crazy again next week when Paul goes away on business again.  But ya know I'm happy to say we have a routine, when Peter came home a little over 2 months ago it was so overwhelming, on top of being a newborn we had to deal with his post-op.  But Peter is now thriving at home and at 3 months old he is hitting every milestone he should be.

Last weekend we had Paul's parents visit us for Thanksgiving, it was such a treat to have them at our new home for our 1st Thanksgiving here.  I've made the feast about 3 times for a group of 3 or 4 people in The Netherlands, but this year it felt so much easier.  My oven and Fridge are enormous compared to my Dutch one, and even with the 2 kids to take care of I still managed to make some dishes and desserts 2 days before Turkey day.  I like Thanksgiving day to be the day I only have to make the turkey and some low maintenance dishes.  But I think it also helped that we had Paul home Wednesday to help manage the kiddos away from me, he was a HUGE help!

After Thanksgiving dinner I was crazy enough to venture to Walmart to get Peter some baby bottles, he has hated taking bottles and if he does take them he'll cry and be gassy for 3+ hours.  Since I know he can take a bottle, Paul kept saying he couldn't, but when he handed the bottle back 2 oz would be gone, we talked about trying a different kind of bottle than the ones we had for Brandon.  POOF!  We tried the new bottles Friday morning and they work, no more gassy colicky baby.  But back to me at Walmart on the eve of Black Friday.  I went for the baby bottles, but ended up staying an extra 45 minutes for the toys to go on sale at 10PM.  The boys didn't need anything, but Brandon and Peter's friend Sara is turning 2 in December and they had some awesome deals, she is going to be one happy little girl in December!
With the grandparents visiting Paul and I took advantage and went on a date to see Tower Heist with Ben Stiller.  Not much is out that both of us want to see, I would have been fine seeing the Twilight movie, but Paul can't stand them, I'll have a girls night out to see that one.  The movie was funny and it was sooo nice to get out.  Our next outing won't be until the Holiday party in December.

Paul's last day off we picked up our Christmas tree from church and since Sunday it's been sitting in a bucket of water outside.  First it was in the backyard, but Monday night we moved it to under the carport because rain was predicted and man did it rain.  We are so happy the tree is dry so we can bring it in the house tonight!  I made sure to bring down all the decorations yesterday so we can pick out the none breakable ones  to hang.  Brandon scares me terribly around Christmas trees.  We have to figure out a way to tie it down so no one gets hurt.

Can you believe tomorrow is December!  This year we are starting an Advent Chain with Brandon.  The Chain is 24 pieces long and everyday he can open 1 piece of the chain.  We put little cars, coloring books, play dough, and books in his.  Next year I'll make one for Peter too, it's just to hard to think of 24 useful things for him, although I could have wrapped up 24 diapers, they would have gotten good use.  But next year will be fun for him!

Im trying my best to get on the blog more to write rather than just post pictures and videos, but some days all I want to do during the babies nap time is just NAP!
